2022 Covid Safety
Current Safety Protocols
For now, clients are being allowed in the building with their pets, but there are still safety protocols in place for the protection of both staff and clients.
1. Masks, properly worn, are still required in the clinic. If you choose not to wear one, we will be more than happy to provide your pet curbside service or a mask for you.
2. Your pet may be taken from you for it's exam before you speak with the doctor and you will be placed in an exam room later when the doctor needs to speak with you.
3. We reserve the right to limit the amount of people in the waiting area and kindly request no more than 2 people per pet including children.
4. Large dogs or dog reactive pets may be asked to wait outside until the time of exam.
5. Curbside or some other accommodation will still be offered for those not wishing to wait in the building.
6. Anyone arriving more than 15 minutes ahead of their appointment will be asked to wait in their car.
Please, if you are sick or had close exposure to Covid, ask that your appointment be rescheduled or wait outside. We recently had a sick client sitting in the waiting area for over 30 minutes. We know that everyone may not agree with the protocols, we just ask that you respect them. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Best Wishes for 2015!
A new tradition started approximately 5 years ago at Pulaski Animal Hospital where the employees who were working on New Years Eve gathered after closing to have a celebration. We would toast the completion of a good year and welcome the new year with hopes for health and prosperity. We would then gather to take a picture to share with Dr. Szpindor and other staff members not present. This year we would like to share the picture with you,our friends, family and clients and extend our best wishes for 2014!

National Pet ID Week is April 18th -24th. Microchip your Pet!

Did you know that the number 1 cause of pet death is getting lost or stolen?
Millions of pets get lost or stolen each and every year and most do not find their way back home. Microchipping saves lives and increases the chances of you being reunited with your pet. We have had many such happy reunions here at Pulaski Animal Hospital. Also, shelters are required by law to scan all animals entering into their facility and to rescan if the animal is to be euthanized.
A microchip is as small as a grain of rice and can easily be inserted between the shoulder blades. You can have this done at anytime and we highly recommend it being done if your pet is scheduled for a surgical procedure to minimize any discomfort associated with the insertion. Most animals tolerate the insertion very well.
Please call the hospital for additional information. Your pet is depending on you to protect it.
The Front Door is Open!!!
On Monday, June 18th, Pulaski Animal Hospital opened the new front door after 6½ long months of construction. There is still some work to be completed but nothing that prevents us from using the new space. Thank You to all of the clients for having patience during the rebuilding project. While you may have enjoyed sitting in our very cramped kitchen you are going to be amazed by and truly love your new reception room.
Open House on Sunday, September 19th
The 2010 Open House and Pet Drive was a huge success and enjoyed by many. Over 800 pounds of food plus supplies and monetary donations were collected for The Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge.
Dr. Michael Byrnes the treasurer of the Animal Welfare League joined us for the event and was amazed by the donations and truly appreciative. He stated that there are 1500 animals at the shelter and they are always in need. Thank You to everyone for attending and supporting a good cause.
A special Thank You to all of our supporters who made this event possible including: Nestle Purina Pet Care, Merial, Elanco/Lilly, Butler Schein Animal Health, Antech Diagnostics, MWI Veterinary Supply, Royal Canin, Hills Pet Nutrition, Pfizer, Novartis, Summit VetPharm, Schering Plough/Intervet, The Stanek Family, Al Silinski of the Brighton Park Life and Sue Malone and Julia Ferrel of The City Newshound.
Last but most important a round of applause for the staff and friends of Pulaski Animal Hospital for volunteering their time and talents.
